I like turning ideas into something real.
I’m Simon — a creator, entrepreneur and publisher from Essex in the UK. Over the years I’ve built businesses, published books, created software, worked on crypto projects and probably started more ideas than I should have.
This website is where I bring all of that together.
I've Always Been a Builder
I learn by doing. If I get interested in something, I want to understand how it works, pull it apart and see if I can build something useful from it.
That’s taken me through digital marketing, affiliate websites, publishing, graphics, software, crypto and community projects. Some ideas worked. Some didn’t. A few changed direction completely. But every one of them taught me something that went into the next thing I built.
That’s probably the best description of what I do: I build, test, learn and keep going.
What I Build
There isn’t one neat label that covers everything I work on — and I’m fine with that.
Publishing & Books
I’ve published my own books and built tools around the process of researching, creating and publishing them.
Software & Creator Tools
I create practical software and systems that help turn ideas into books, graphics, puzzles and digital products.
Bigger Projects
Some ideas go well beyond a digital product. Otter Oasis is one of those — a long-term project combining community, technology and a future real-world eco-tourism park.
Why I Keep Doing It
For me, creating isn’t really about chasing the next shiny thing. I genuinely enjoy taking something that starts as an idea in my head and getting it to the point where somebody can actually use it.
I also want what I build to mean something long term. I’m a dad and a grandad, and the bigger goal behind all of this is to build things that can last beyond the next launch or the next month.
I don’t have every step figured out before I start. Most of the time I work it out along the way. That’s part of the journey, and I’d rather show the real version of that than pretend every project is an overnight success.
What I'm Working Towards
Right now I’m continuing to build publishing tools, software and online projects while developing the much bigger Otter Oasis vision.
Some projects will grow. Some will change. Some ideas will probably get scrapped completely. That’s normal. The constant is that I’ll keep creating, learning and trying to turn the strongest ideas into something real.
